I'm really happy with the facility and the manager Kaija. She showed me around the lot, looked at a couple of units, and had all the paperwork done quickly. We also discovered there is a mini nature reserve along one side of the property, a retention pond with a couple beavers swimming around! Probably frogs too. It was pretty funny to see them in such an odd place. The prices here are way lower than their competitors.

Keija was super helpful showing me units even though she knew I was not renting at that point in time. Will definitely come back to rent a spot at this location. Also the place is really clean and easy to get to.

I’m an old hand at buying storage spaces over the past 30 years, not just in greater Chicagoland but also the west coast and inland northwest. My recent interactions with Kaija Daniels, the onsite manager at Extra Space Storage on Lake Ave in Mundelein, were the best I’ve ever experienced. While this is an older facility, off the beaten path and with a tiny office, Kaija clearly makes sure that the property and all the tenant services, including upkeep of the grounds and units, meet and exceed A+ standards. Sure, it’s just storage, but as in any other business, knowledge, attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion for helping customers are what make you choose one facility over another, and that’s how Kaija operates. She wasn’t just knowledgeable about how to get the most out of the space I needed, she took the time to listen and understand what I needed and why. She offered several really helpful suggestions about packing, moving and organizing my space, all of which are going to save me a lot of time and work. Plus she did all this with a smile and kindness, something we need more of in this world! Thanks Kaija for making the whole process simple and easy.
